Meet Owen: Athlete of the Month

Owen | 16 years old | Hockey

Owen has been playing hockey since he was five years old.

He and his brother chose to play hockey because of their dad. Owen talks about his favourite parts of hockey — “I just loves playing it. It's so much fun skating and scoring goals! Besides being super fun, it also teaches you teamwork and respect for others."

Owen’s father shares, "the Athletics4Kids grant program gave me the financial support to make sure my kids do not miss out on playing sports. It helps me make sure I can keep seeing them smile.”
